STUART
Stuart Giddens was indoctrinated into the folk scene at an early age when his father recruited him for the local morris team. Stuart was always careful, though, to keep up appearances and not be the butt of the joke amongst his peers. With this in mind, Stuart began to indulge his musical passions like an ADHD Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde. By day he’d learn bawdy drinking songs and bash out English folk favourites on an old Hohner melodeon. By night he’d indulge in too many rum and cokes at a local indie gig, pop concert or rave. This might go at least some way to explaining Stuart’s hip-swivelling, bellow-squeezing, crowd-baiting performance as frontman of Blackbeard’s Tea Party.
